Andy Brewster

(Youth and Family)

Andy was born and raised in the great state of South Carolina or “God’s country” as he likes to call it.  He and his wife, Lena (whom he met and fell in "love" with in the 6th grade), have been married for almost two years and have one "baby", their dog Obi (named for the Star Wars character Obi Won Kenobi).  Andy and Lena consider themselves very blessed to be working with such a great congregation and to be a part of the Augusta Road Ministry for Youth (A.R.M.Y.)  Andy is the son of Tommy and Carol Brewster, brother of Spencer Brewster and Crystal Hart, brother-in-law of Garrett Hart and uncle of Alyssa and Austin Hart.

From a very early age Andy knew he wanted to serve in the Lord’s church in some professional capacity, but it wasn’t until he experienced what a youth minister could mean in a teenagers life for himself that he decided he wanted to serve as a youth and family minister. Andy began attending Faulkner University in the fall of 2002 seeking a degree that would help lead him to becoming a minister for the youth of the Lord’s church. He graduated in the spring of 2006 with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. Andy is thrilled about the opportunity he has here at the Augusta Road congregation to help the youth, families, community, himself and congregation as a whole grow closer to God. Andy’s favorite verse is Matthew 5:14.
